Rulebooks in progress

Dear backers,
Game rules are the most complex and difficult part of developing a game. Because we are including three rule books and three playbooks (in English, Spanish, and German) with the game, we have had a busy few weeks.
The Kickstarter campaign for my new project "1807 - The Big Four" will start in the next few weeks. I will provide you with details. If this campaign is successfully completed, production of 18ESP will begin.
All the best

Dear backers,
As Christmas and the New Year approach, we wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!
Yes, we know - the release date of 18ESP is delayed. But we see a light at the end of the tunnel. The rules are in the final developing phase, and production will start in February.
In the meantime I play a lot on 18xx.games, and I must say that 18ESP is one of my favorites. Try it out before you have the physical box in your hands.
All the best

Working hard.

Dear backers,
It's Enrique Trigueros, co-designer of 18España. I wanted to write to you about several matters.
Firstly, I want to apologize to all of you because of 18España's delay. Any of you that know Lonny's projects, know that his projects never have unnecessary delays. So, what is delaying 18España?
When we launched the KS campaign we were changing the takeover rules. It took longer than we thought. But another question was much more important. Sincerely, I thought the campaign would be more successful than it was. Maybe I was too optimistic because of my inexperience. We had thought several stretch goals very interesting, but the goals weren't reached. However, Lonny, who is not only the co-designer, but also the publisher, allowed me to include many of these locked goals. Among them, the variant for 2-players is maybe the most difficult to finish, because it needs considerable playtesting before releasing the game for production. We have been working on this variant for months, but it is also taking more time than we thought.
The Playbook, proofreading, translations (three languages: Spanish, English, and German), implementing the game in 18xx.games, improvements, etc., also are taking a lot of time.
I don't want to justify anything, but rather explain what is happening at the moment, and why we have had an unusual delay in 18España production. So, I apologize again, although with the promise we are working very hard, and we will finish what remains to do asap, but also with the determination to deliver to you the best possible product, both creation and design of the product itself, with high quality components, and more components than were stated on the KS campaign.
Thank you in advance for all your patience. We still are working to reach the best possible 18ESP.
With my best wishes to all,
Enrique.
Pledge Manager will close

Dear backers,
the pledge manager will close on Monday, August 26th. You will then receive an E-Mail with a final notice that your credit card will be charged in two days. So you still have a week to make any changes on BackerKit.
If you want to change anything after the pledge manager is closed please contact me directly. I will then take care of all your wishes personally.
So far Enrique and I are currently working on the final touches to the 2-player rules. I can promise that the 2-player is a lot of fun. Most of the 18ESP features are retained. And it is not only a challenge to beat your opponent but a dummy player named Rodrigo, too.
All the best

Dear backers,
Enrique and I were working to improve the rules. We made some minor changes to improve the balance between the Northern and the Southern major companies.
We also were working on the 2-player variant, although this stretch goal wasn't reached. But Enrique is very keen on producing a complete game of high quality.
In the meantime I was already working on the files and created shares and train cards.
We are looking forward to a successful new member of the 18xx family.
